The Ostrobothnia Waste Management Committee is a statutory intermunicipal waste management authority for the following municipalities:

• Evijärvi
• Jakobstad
• Kauhava
• Kaustinen
• Kokkola
• Kronoby
• Larsmo
• Nykarleby
• Pedersöre
• Veteli

The Ostrobothnia Waste Management Committee operates as a separate department within the City of Jakobstad’s organization.

The tasks of the Ostrobothnia Waste Management Committee are specified in the Waste Act and the Committees own instructions. The Committee makes independent decisions on matters falling within its areas of authority.
